CL group
Bayern, Olympiakos, Dinamo Zagreb - the first two are seemingly regular opponents so no surprises there plus Dinamo Zagreb.
We might expect to progress from that group - it would be nice to finish top so that's the challenge right there!

Here we go then, Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia. It'll be a difficult game but one we should hope to win - come on Arsenal!

Re: CL group
Hugely disappointing - the players drafted in didn't really show their worth (Debuchy, The Ox in particular) whilst Giroud just has to be told not to be so effing French! All that hand waving and complaining - yes, he didn't foul the opposing player when he went for a high ball and the ref. blew up wrongly but stop all that faffing about Olly, you picked up a yellow, got in the ref's face so that a harmless foul later on resulted in a second yellow - I don't know man, get a grip!
They got a jammy rebound goal (following poor defensive work from Debuchy/The Ox) then we gifted them another (this time it was Gibbs who was unable to head clear) and had to play catch-up with ten men. Theo came on and scored a good'un, Ozil and Alexis worked their collective socks off but it wasn't enough. Oh well, early days - we'll have to improve to finish second in the group (unless we beat Bayern in Munich, eh) - come on Arsenal!

Re: CL group
Oh dear, what a shambles. Theo took his goal well enough, Alexis worked his arse off as usual and scored a nice header but the rest? I still can't believe a keeper would actually drop the ball over the line (and was it over the line?) but, aside from the unlucky deflection for their first goal the other two were down to piss-poor defending! Where are we now? Fist it's crap, then it's good, now it's just horrible. Yes we could still finish with nine points to see us through to the knock-out stages but can this team knuckle down and put in a serious performance against Bayern Munich next time out? What a question!

Bayern on Tuesday - their fans are going to arrive late as a protest about the cost of tickets - I hope we've already scored twice by the time they reach their seats! Come on Arsenal!

Re: CL group
So, Arsene out-tacticed Pep - Arsene truly knows, eh? Nice to see an Arsenal team play with such combined dedication - everyone had a good game and if we can be critical of Bellerin in defence we have to admit he was up against a tricky player and, did you see him motor for the second goal and that was after 90-odd minutes? The young lad's a genius, I trust we'll manage to keep hold of him for a good while yet. Meanwhile we have to face the fact that Ramsey will be out for a while but his position can, at least be taken by other reliable players e.g The Ox.Hex, we're still in with a shout of qualifying for the knock-out stages - this team can do it!

Re: CL group
Well I'm sure you must be right cos on the ITV round-up of games the other night nobody seemed to rate Arsenal's performance - what was it Glenda said, "all the English clubs came through but none of them's met any of the big teams yet", so obviously Bayern Munich is not a Big team. So, there we have it - you Spuds (well you, Frenchie and your old mucker Glenda) have written us off. Hold on, that's got to be a good thing, right?

Re: CL group
I was probably wrong to say joining.... probably more like replacing
It seems for some reason again the english clubs don't seem overly interested in the CL again

Gotta fancy a draw in Germany, eh? A win would be nice, of course but perhaps that's asking too much of an injury-depleted Arsenal - nah, I'll take a draw!

Re: CL group
Oooooooooo.....we were sh!ite were we not? Bayern were good but we were sh!te. I wouldn't mind if we were out of European football this season but the thought of having to play in the Dismal League is enough to make me want us to still go for the two remaining games and finish second. Come on lads, you owe us one - Ok you beat Bayern at home and lost to 'em away so that's not so bad but you've still to make up for losing to the Greeks and Croats in the first place - work to be done!

If that's the case they may as well simply give us the trophy to save all the faffing about!

Re: CL group
Here comes the next must-win - Dinamo Zagreb (who will surely be careful not to load their players with too much junk this time around). We'll have a thread-bare team, they'll be missing the bloke who's been banned for performing whilst under the influence of a banned substance and we have to win if we want to avoid playing in the Loser's Boring Cup.....it's not a nice moment but from these situations wonderful things can flourish, innit?!

Re: CL group
OK, first job done, now for a match in two weeks in Greece to beat Olympiakos on their patch - that's fair, they beat us on ours. Played quite well last night, overall a good team performance with Mesut and Alexis on top form - where genius from the german and non-stop action from our man from Chile. Come on Arsenal, take it to the Greeks!
