Private Ryan on the beach was great the rest was crap... Platoon and FMJ all about the yanks trying to make up for the fact they lost the war...

amazing it ever got finished really... Martin Sheen had a heart attack. Vic Morrow killed by a helicopter... Typhoons and earthquakes during the filming in the Philipines

Nice Link Lass, Good movie and excellent music score, it was movies like this at the time that made America and its armed services take a long hard look at themselves and to realise they have all the same weaknesses as everybody else.
