Jenas
The midfielder we have been waiting for? If we can keep him fit then I can see the sense in it but he has always appeared a bit injury prone.

Dont think he is injury prone, just a bit shit.
However, he does have talent, well he used to. It says something when our transfer activity is that shite that I am hoping we get Jenas in.

I know a bloody disaster.. we have collapsed like a pack of cards from our days of 90% of turnover to the fire sale we have now..
There is quality available but we have 50p to spend.. Dann has gone for 5M.. cheap wages.. a player who barring a disaster will only rise n value..
Lets see what 11pm brings.. but to get rid of Luke Young Makoun and everyone else and to be sat here at 5pm with no sign yet RB coming in and Jenas sums it all up nicely..
Our CM is shit.. who cares what Fulham and co's is like im concerned about ours.. shit with n creativity.. expect plenty of clean sheets and not many goals scored..

According to talksport, jenas is in talks with Stoke so it aint all doom and gloom To be fair Jenas isn't a donkey, but he isn't the sort of signing which will get the fans flocking back to VP either.

So we have let Young Makoun Hogg Weimann leave ( albeit two youngsters ) and havent got anyone in yet..
Jenas is looking like Zidane the way things stand
Re: Jenas
Where's this coming from that Weimann ( a striker) has left? All i've seen is that he's on duty for the under 21s, and why the worry about Makoun? He wasn't up to the Premiership, no loss there

Wouldnt it be better to keep Young and spend 4M on a midfielder or stump up the 5M for Dann.. Dunne and Collins are out of Contract next summer..

Ades, stop getting boners over Dann! He's a bluenose, it probably wouldn't gone down to well with the fans anyway.
I think Collins, Dunne, Cuellar and Clark are all better then Dann, only difference is that he's English.
Jenas in midfield with Delph and Petrov in a 3 won't be too bad I suppose. Won't be too good either, mind!

But we received over 2 million for Young, good value for a player out of contract next summer

Re: Jenas
sounds like its done for Hutton and Jenas.
Jenas isn't exactly what I expected. Best case - he settles in, finds form and improves the midfield allbeit not very much. worst case - does nothing and he's off next summer.

Sky Sports sources understand that Villa have expressed an interest in out-of-favour Valencia winger Manuel Vicente.

That coming from you who gets a boner over every other player
If you think all them lot are better then Dann then you must be on crack.. esp with three of them out of contrct in 12months too so will need replacing..
So Jenas in a middle three wont be good or bad.. the term sitting on the fence was made for you

Dann aint great. He's good, but not great IMO. I'd even go as far to say that Roger Johnson is probably as good as Dann. The defenders we've got at the club are better. Central Defence is one position I think we're fine in.
About the midfield, it'll be average.

Re: Jenas
I agree we dont need to spend there when money is tight and esp needing a RB and two CM.. was just an overall factor that he represents very good value for money.. i think he is very good player..
Anyway looks like Hutton and Jenas is the best we can hope for..
