It's a shame for the lad but i'm pleased we hadn't signed him on a permanent basis.

Apparently we do, 45k a week.
But then on the flip side of that, Makoun is back at the club receiving treatment for a knee injury, and you would assume that Olympiakos are still paying his wages.

Yes that's exactly what we need another under performer in the squad

He's injured, but I assume he will return to Greece when he recovers as they will be paying his wages

Well Jenas is gone, it wont harm us by bringing Makoun in.
We need a player that the defence can give the ball to, so he can turn and get the ball foward/set up an attack.. Thats exactly what Makoun is capable of. Who knows, it might even lead to N'Zogbia waking up, french connection and all that.
But he's on loan for the whole season, think McLeish is thinking of bringing someone in, in January. Probably end up with Steven Davis for fecks sake.

Steven Davis actually performed well in a Villa shirt, prompting many to show displeasure when MoN sold him.Makoun on the other hand was pretty cack.

Done well in a Villa shirt, when Villa were shite. Moved to Rangers, did alright over there but did feck all when he was at Fulham.
It was him and Gavin McCann in midfield when he was here, he was just the best out of a bad, 'honest bunch of lads'.

Think he was average at best in a piss poor Villa team.. DONT want him back..
Makoun didnt set the world alight but showed potential and never got a proper run of games.. anyway no point bringing him back.. hoooof football wont suit him..
