I've never heard of him, but players from the dutch league are always hit and miss. You could end up with a Robben or you could end up with an Alfonso Alves.

Jaas would be an excellent replacement if Green doesn't sign.

Yakubu imo wouldn't be an Allardyce type of signing. He is a good finisher but spends a lot of time being a pedestrian. He bombed out the last striker he had like that........ Benni McCarthy

I'd have to trust Sam's judgement on transfers, to be honest. Carew was his only duff signing last season.

I think Sam would take Yakubu. He knows he'll get 90 minutes of graft out of Cole and you can't disregard someone with the finishing ability of the Yak.
