Preseason thoughts

Well I've watched our first and second games of this pre season, and here's my thoughts so far on a few things:

The Way We Play
Very happy with the way Lambert is telling his team to play. We're playing fast, attacking football. Everyone in the team is getting a touch, no more bypassing the midfield; from Collins to row Z football. Pass and move, quick one twos, and direct.

All 3 signings have been impressive, Lowton's done well to be honest, he's slotted in fine at RB and even CB when he played there.

El-Ahmadi is very, very impressive - controlled the midfield in both games he's played. Granted, the opposition hasn't been great but still some players take much more time to settle in, but El-Ahmadi has hit the ground running. Good passing ability, reads the game well, and strong in the tackle.

Holman has done very well, good goal against Burton last week, and had a very good game yesterday, linking up for the goal (which was scored by the Fonz, great finish by him by the way). Reminds me a bit of Milner for some reason, has a similar style of play IMO.

N'Zogbia is playing shite. Can't dribble past anyone, struggling to control the ball at times, misplaced a few passes too.
Hutton played shite against Burton, and was left our of the squad all together for the USA trip.
Dunne looks like he's still recovering from the Euro's.

Gabby looks like he's up for it this season, dribbled the ball passed 4 players yesterday only for the shot to be blocked by a defender. Bent is playing as he usually does, in and around the box, but he's coming a bit deeper to get the ball off players which is encouraging, he wants to be involved in more of the play.

Bannan is dictating more of the play, in the last two games.

Everyone else is still getting match fit to be honest.

Think he needs to get adjusted to playing footy again.

He's a lazy frog on a big fat contract. His attitude stinks. Imo if he plays like he did last season Lambert wil sell him in January

There can be no further excuses from N'Zogbia. He certainly has not endeared himself to the Villa fans with his attitude. Liked the comments of Gordon Cowans following reserves win at Boldmere. He said the reserves were now playing in the same pattern as the first team, which does make sense

Here's my pre season thoughts for you lads.
Let's at least start the season with a smile on your faces.

Think Villainies could have sexual relations with his favourite five women, see Villa win the champions league, watch all the crap olympics, dance all night in the kitchen with Michael Jackson and still be a miserable fecker

Now you come to mention it, I've been thinking of swapping his poncy coffee beans for rabbit shit. D'you reckon he'd notice the difference?

All coffee smells like rabbit shit dont it?

I stopped liking proper coffee when I stopped smoking. Would rather have a nice cup of tea these days, and none of that pony Earl Grey. PG Tips.

You can't whack a nice cuppa or as some of our friends from the midlands would say, a nice kipper tie.

Love an oolong in the afternoon.

As for Villa I want to see them line up against some real opposition before I start getting too excited. As it stands we are going to struggle next season but I'm sure we'll be getting new players in.

One of my Cousins who lives in wiltshire,,,,her and her old man have this obsession about Star bucks....if he dont get his weekend of star bucks he gets all moody

All though i have never been to one so cant really comment on what i would be missing

Hope someone is daft enough to pay us 7M and take N Zog.. PL would get in a decent player for that amount of dosh..

Nope i dont like tea that much,,,wife does,,,early grey and breackfast tea etc etc...but i prefer coffee....what is so wimpish about that
