Kyle Walker - How bad was he against the might of San Marino.
He would have been stand out bad even if he was playing for San Marino, l hope Jenkinson decides to commit to England he's nailed on to take over from Johnson at some stage.

He didn't have a good game last night but I think that was a one off. I've been impressed with Walker whenever i've seen him. Not yet seen Jenkinson play so can't comment. However I think with Walker,Johnson, Richards,Kelly and Jenkinson right back is definitely a strong position.

But in the end Hodgeson is to blame for setting them up to play through the traffic jam in the middle all the time.... they should have gone around it.... and when they did there were goals

5-0 is a poor result given the opposition, Germany spanked 6 past RI away from home, we are a million miles away from the top teams despite our lofty FIFA ranking.

We are a million miles away from the top and have been for a long time.
5-0 (when it could have easily been 10-0) against San Marino is OK for me - who gives a sh!te TBH - but the fact that several players were unable to do better, particularly in front of goal was a disappointment for me (Welbeck could've had 4 or 5). I thought The Ox was OK - very competent on the ball and his goal was great, as was Rooney's - I think we all wanted a 7 or 8-goal thrashing (and could easily have got one) but had to settle for a mere 5-0 - good enough IMO.
Let's see what happens in the next match.

I don't agree - you expect too much from an ordinary team IMO. As I say, let's see what happens in the next match, when the opposition will provide a sterner test.

I mentioned on another thread that Walker seemed nervous and was not playing his normal game. Every time he got the ball it seemed he wanted rid of it straight away and that is not the player I see at Spurs or Villa when he was here. I thought the width was poor, the ox was coming in all the time rather than go on the outside. Lennon and Walker didnt work well together last night. Wellbeck especially was intent on keeping going through the middle, average performance at best
