Re: Moyes.
Failure. He hasn't got the best out of what he has in the current squad and he fecked up the first transfer window. It looks like he wasn't ready or able to step up to leading a club at that level.

Re: Moyes.
Let's face it following in The Scot Controller's footsteps was always going to be difficult - he inherited a team that had managed to claim first place the previous season with RvP managing to stay fit the whole season (only the second of his career) and score the goals but with little elsewhere in the team to provide any chance of maintaining the level (Rooney aside) and so it's turned out. Rumour has it the players didn't do much to help but how do we know? Victim? Not really, he's pocketed a tidy sum so failure fits the bill, although it's no surprise. Good luck to the next one up but methinks it'll be a couple of years before ManU can hope to get back somewhere near the top. In fact they'd better watch out - another dud call could see them looking closer at the other end of the table IMO.

Re: Moyes.
Liverpool have certainly benefitted from having no European involvement this season. They've had very few injuries, while the other top sides have had their squads depleted.
The waves have really parted for Liverpool. Everton have had a good season for the same reason.
So, ironically, their failure to make Europe could well prove a blessing for Man U, in terms of next years PL. They can pay the wages to attract top players.
