For days now they have been saying the game is an evening game.

Just found out its an afternoon game, so i have to get from a midday appointment in Wells somerset back down to Cornwall for 3, can't be done.

The other thing is the plan was for me to drop over to Glastonbury to see if i could scrounge some passes from a friend/organizer for the fest this weekend, so appointment, Glastonbury, then back home well in time for the game.

Why do they say evening meaning evening African time when it should be UK time and afternoon.

Anyway:

Think we will obliterate Slovenia, not as much as i thought we would hammer Algeria, but certainly 3-1 win England.

I thought it was always scheduled for half 3

QB: I think it always has been, but for some reason I've just gone on commentators saying "Evening Game" never realising they mean African time.

My thinking is this:
If they're as bad as they were on Friday, I don't want to see it. If they're better than they were on Friday they'll qualify for the last 16 and I'll be able to see them play at the weekend.

They can't be as bad as they were against Algeria. That's the worst England performance I've ever seen (or read about) and I go back a long time. I know the team isn't that good, we've a dire shortage of class players etc. All I ask is spirit, a touch of English ooomph, pride in the shirt for chrissake, it's not too much to ask, is it?

Missus is getting the train home, but I was due to pick her up at the station. Anyway, in the car this morning she says shall she get a cab from the station. I enquired why she would need to do that and she replied that she thought I would be having a drink. Told her I hadnt thought about doing so, but actually may have a couple, so agreed to her kind offer.














She left it until she was due to get out the car to tell me that she had heard me discussing my drink arrangements with next door neighbour yesterday evening

Jak, I think the bolshy yam yam is under the thumb of his 3 women, the 2 younger ones make him take them to the pub every weekend
