This Is England 86

Anyone else watch it? I caught up with the final episode today. Equally as good as the original, I thought.

Gonna watch the film tomorrow, and watch the series on 4od. Shane Meadows is a fantastic director.

Haven't you seen the film?

There are a couple of scenes in the last 2 episodes of the series that aren't easy to watch.

The series is class, I hope they don't make another though as I fear they could ruin it.

Should I watch the film?

Not yet, I've heard very good things about it though.

The series finishes in exactly the right place. And yes, you should watch the film. I nearly bought it on Friday - it's in Sainsbury's for £4, but I'd already bought Jamie Oliver's new cookbook and a Tefal griddle pan. Rock and roll, eh?

I have to admit I'm not much of a film buff. I've been meaning to watch Harry Brown for months, and Shutter Island.

I love shutter island. seen it 4 times now. love it. Harry Brown is alright, didn't get the hype. Plan B is good in it though.

Yup, brilliant remix of a brilliant song. Suzanne with Leonard Cohen is a really good song too. I'm not a huge hip-hop fan, but Plan B does it very well.

Dead Man's Shoes is one of the best British films ever - sterling performance by the kid from RocknRolla which was a welcome return to form by Guy Ritchie

This is England is an immensely clever film because it is so understandable in a very non understadable way if that makes sense
