And we were without Vermaelen too, but Squillaci and Koscielny stood up well in central defence against a typical Bolton physical approach. Davies committed a couple of horrible fouls on Rosicky (should've been a yellow card) and Wilshire (finally got the yellow, should've been the second) - I don't mind the "good old-English centre-forward" game but Davies should learn to stop bleating when someone has a dig back, as Koscielny did - which had Davies crying to the ref like a baby!
Four well-taken goals, could've been two or three more but I'm happy with the performance - Song was probably our best performer although Cesc looks to be back to something like his best and I'm happy with Chamakh's game. Rosicky continues to look good (honest jak) - one ball he played through to AA was top-class and could/should have resulted in our first goal. Still, no complaints - keep this up lads!

Sebastien Squillaci - we signed him from Sevilla - is an experienced (30 years old) centre back who played for Monaco when they got to the CL Final, for Lyon when they were twice French champions and was part of the infamous French World Cup 2010 squad (he's been capped twenty-odd times).
As I say he looks the part, handles himself well and will hopefully provide cover/competition for the centre back places, along with Vermaelen, Koscielny and Djourou. Yesterday was his first start for the club, he'd previously played for the reserves mid-week.
