Yes.
Lion, if you liked the film, you really should see the series. It's 4 hour-long episodes, pretty much the same cast. It's set during the 1986 World Cup, although that doesn't really have much to do with the plot. Funny, powerful and disturbing. I was sorry it ended, but it ended in exactly the right place.

As for This is England, you have to watch the film first.
Not a fan of his new soul sounding newer stuff, but that's the work that taking him to the big time so fair play.
