Re: Arsenal v Birmingham City
Sorry jak, wherever you are.
Not a particularly good performance, we hardly got going but still had more possession, more shots, both on and off target - I was sure we'd still get the winner then we concede a truly stupid goal at the death!
OK, Birmingham were up for it - they certainly played better (for Birmingham) than we did (for Arsenal) but we had enough to clinch it - their keeper Foster played well but then that's what he's there for, shot-stopping.
We were never going to win four trophies and the League Cup, being probably the easiest was not the most important but will losing, when we should win affect morale? We'll have to wait and see - Wednesday against Orient, Saturday against Sunderland and next Tuesday against Barca. Getting through against Barca would be an appropriate antidote. Let's wait and see!

you won't win any of the others, perhaps you will wish that the league cup was even easier by the end of the season.

Well I probably thought we'd win TBH, but it's football isn't it? The team that beat Barca lost to Birmingham - not much logic there, about as much as your "you won't win any of the others" really.

Re: Arsenal v Birmingham City
Same old story again and again.. It's getting boring now..
No quality CB brought in.. No leadership in midfield and no class striker to support RvP...
The worst thing is everyone can see that with three very good additions ( not even talking top class like Ronaldo Messi Xavi etc ) and Arsenal couldve done the domestic treble..

Arsenal just aren't good enough. It's as simple as that.

Well, obviously not "good enough" to win the League Cup, the Champions League or the FA Cup but might we be "good enough" to win the Premier League I wonder? Probably not, logically, having failed in the other competitions..........

Yeah, I think you're probably right.
They're certainly not as good as Wenger and certain sections of the national press would have us believe.

No it doesn't.
Straight after a post saying "Maybe OPTA will give them a trophy" you post "But better then the teams dwelling below them".
For a start, "better then the teams" doesn't make sense.
"Better than the teams" would make sense but I'm not sure if that's what you meant or not.
Secondly, even if you did mean that, how does your post relate to the one immediately preceding it? Were you replying to an earlier post and, if so, why didn't you quote it?
