This will come back to haunt me.
I hope West Ham stay up.Much prefer to see you suffer a relegation battle than enjoy a promotion push

Re: Wigan
I enjoy the banter we all have on here.
My only fear is that if we go down, all that will fall away.
We all know full well that there is no point in making a post here as all we will get is a slagging from the teams still in the prem telling us why post when it doesn't concern you anyway?
Don't say that won't happen as I know if the boot was on the other foot, we would give the Villa fans a lot of stick too.
On the plus side, I think it may liven up the championship page.

Re: Wigan
And you think we won't do the same to you?
Especially if we do go go down and then get back up again at the expense of Aston Villa and your manager's superb judgement that will replace us.

Lutes was saying he looked shite yesterday and if he's been found.. Think the lad has terrific work rate and a great delivery if something is going to hinder him it will be the fact he isn't speedy..

Sorry Ades, don't agree there. He's fast - clearly not as fast as Gabby obviously (no one is) but he is fast. Look at all the plaudits he's got this season, all the commentators call him an 'old fashioned, pacey and tricky winger'.
Check this out, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6B8LyaFiGc
at the 1.16 mark, out paces the left back and the left midfielder, while still running with the ball.
The thing about Albrighton is that he's got good control of the ball while running at/past the defender, as shown in the video. Sure, losses control of it once or twice during a game but who doesn't.

You may well be right Jay.. But a lunging tackle and a guy running slower then Petrov isnt the best example to use

A decision on GH future is needed sooner rather then later, also he needs to find a better assistant.
We are in a tricky situation here because the current set up are negotiating contracts but it's unlikely that GH and team will be in charge next season. Obviously the new manager needs to be in place, able to sign players he wants and in charge for the whole pre season. RL needs to take decisive action or we could be left in limbo like last season. GH sounds like he is recovering well but the club cannot afford another managerless period and he can't chance his health any further.

Re: Wigan
Whether Houllier's health is fit to continue or not, you look at the squad we have got, the money he has spent, the fact that we are not guaranteed Premier League survial with 2 games of the season to go is not good enough and he should be sacked anyway.

From the papers today:
Atletico Madrid manager Quique Sanchez Flores could replace Gerard Houllier at Aston Villa - if the Frenchman steps down following his recent health scare.
