Hit a few balls at my old golf club in Dartford today, many Charlton supporters there, they rate this lad highly.
I think he'll be first of a few new signings. I'll feel a lot better when Denilson and Rosicky depart though, the thought of seeing them two in an Arsenal shirt again, depresses me badly.

May be, but I know he represents the Finnish U21 team.

JPR, think I was a tad harsh on QB, have apologised to him in private and he has been big enough to accept it. Have had a few things going on recently and got on top of me, so to speak

Apparently Arsenal had talks with the lad who went to Man Ure, but chose them. Spuds also were after him. Never heard of this lad until this morning, reporter said he was a very good prospect

I'm hearing that we were interested in the player that signed for ManU but the size of the fee - well I'd be surprised if we'd pay that sort of money for a prospect. Apparently we'd already agreed on signing the Charlton lad, Jenkinson before the end of last season. Nice move, I think - someone for the future.

JPR, heard Arsenal fan on the radio saying he cant be any worse than Eboue at right back . Nice to see them buying a young English talent rather than the usual foreigners, may be more coming in with the new rules that come in soon that I havent got a clue about by the way, except you need home grown players apparently.

Well Jenkinson is half foreign (as Jesus was quick to jump in two-footed-as-usual with before)! Problem is young English talent carries a massive mark-up if you want to sign them. OK if you develop your own, which we do and always have done, but compare the price of a twenty-year-old Brit on the market to an equivalent talent from abroad - we're talking twice the price. Perhaps it's a rarity value - which is a bit sad!
