That is absolute nonsense comment. Not too sure there was much moaning when Delph was signed, even though he has since failed to live up to the potential. Ditto Ashley Young. What annoyed some Villa fans with MON was his buying of journeymen premier league average players

I understand from reports he can also play centre back and centre midfield. Never heard of him before yesterday, but like the fact we are signing young players.

No chomp from me, my good ugly little mate Ades. Nice to see us buying from the lower divisions to be honest, Lamberts record at Norwich seems to suggest he can pick players up from there. We are realistic enough to know it is not going to be easy for him, but the early signs are very impressive.

To be honest i'm pleased that he's getting business done early. As for the signings, Guzan apart, i've never heard of them so i'm neither excited nor disappointed

Yeah Lambert seems like a no nonsense bloke, idenitfies his target and moves early in the transfer market - unlike MON who'd have us watching Sky Sports News until 11:59pm on the last day.

These are squad players that may or may or make it. We need a quality midfielder or we're fucked. Petrov (IMO already in decline before last season) won't be back, we need to spend to get someone in to replace him.

Never heard of either of them tbh so can't judge.

I'm just looking forward to the season, last year destroyed my football soul.

I don't even care if we finish 12th or something, I have absolutely no expectations at all, just want to be able to enjoy a match day again.
