If he could get back to the form he showed when he first signed will be a good signing. He was actually chosen ahead of Baines for world cup in 2010. Did well under Allardyce before. He slagged off Villa when Houllier was in charge after game at Man City apparently and fans wouldnt forgive that and rightly so.
