Ticket prices
Someone just told me about this.
http://www.whufc.com/articles/20100426/a-v-blackpool_2236896_2257787
£34/£35 for a midweek trek up north in January?
I'd be interested to know what they charge their own fans, because that's extortionate.

Re: Ticket prices
I suppose bigger the team up in the Premiership the higher the charge and legally it can be done (for the moment), Man Utd supporters going to Bloomfield road are gonna pay £39.00 and they will pay it and seats will be filled.... Besides you don't just get a footie match you get a visit to the UK's premier seaside resort as well

They aren't allowed to charge more than they would charge home supporters for corresponding seats. The only leeway is if it's designated Cat A or B. That's why prices are so low at Wigan, Blackburn etc.

I only think that the same price for fans occurs if in a similar location, I have asked a friend who is a life time fan of BFC (thats an understatement by the way lol) to see if she can put some light on this. I heard Chelsea charge up to £50.00 a game...

Re: Ticket prices
Arsenal charge up to £100 per ticket. But on the other hand, when we went to the Emirates for the West Ham game in October, tickets were £33.
I suppose the real question is, what do Blackpool fans pay for equivalent seats? I tried to look on their website but it requires registration so I didn't bother.

Doesn't look over the top to me - certainly not 'extortionate'.

My friend replied she is a season ticked holder at BFC, but said most clubs charge Away fans more for the tickets then home fans.

Not true, and against Premier League rules.

I may of misread what she means, and I quote her "I'm a season ticket holders so not too positive but I think they vary dependant who we play as that's what everyone else does honey, away fan would get there tickets through there own club shop also, only home tickets from BFC." Sean has kind of explained and I think I know what he means now.
I will see if I can another friend to let me know the cost of a match ticket.
