No I dont think so... for a two week trial I would guess the inland revenue would be expecting quite a serious fine and or possibly gaol time...

Voyeur in charge, and a tax cheat as manager. What a lovely respectful club.

The injunction snapped under the strain, then.
I told ya, Frenchie. Didn't I tell ya? you can't say I didn't tell ya.....
I love how Sky are reporting it through gritted teeth, what with Jamie being one of their star pundits, and they do love a bit of Aitch.
I will say though, as I always do, innocent until proven guilty. But the injunction makes me

Re: Well there goes the season
This is very interesting.
Normally the revenue will avoid going to court if they possibly can.
So Redknapp would have been given ample opportunity to reach a settlement with them.
Obviously Harry, or should I say Henry, has stood his ground.
Ken Dodd did the same, as did Lester Piggott. Dodd walked away, Piggott went to prison.
Let's hope Hen................Harry has made the right call.

HMRC have wanted their day in court over this for a long time, jak.

It seems to have taken a long time for them to persuade the cps that there is grounds for a trial.... whether this means it is a thin case or someone has finally blabbed I dont know

Someone on KUMB reckons he'll be found not guilty, but will get 5 years for contempt of court for winking at the judge.

Peter Storrie isn't being mentioned here. I'm guessing that his trial has already taken place (maybe he pleaded guilty, a bit like the Pakistani cricketer's trial) but it can't be reported until Redknapp & Mandaric have had their trial. Incidentally, a ban on reporting this was lifted at 2:30pm yesterday, which was why the sudden announcement. It' been going on for ages, with a couple of adjournments, I believe.
