Surely we should aim for more than two draws from Newcastle and Everton?

Re: new season....
Maybe so. Worst time to play a promoted team especially away from home. Draw, win draw. I'd be happy with that

Nah, I was joking, I would be over the moon if we managed to get that many points from the first 3 games. Would take a draw against West Ham definitely.

Re: new season....
Ruddy has just signed a new 4 year deal with Norwich so thats put the idea of him coming to join Lambert out the window .... Given will bounce from the Irish failure at Euro 2012 back im sure but letting Guzan go is a loss.... maybe PL will go in for Holt now ...

He's a good player, reckon he'll be Petrov's replacement.

Never seen him play as I don't watch any of the Dutch league, but we need midfielders.

Re: new season....
Lol I actually know about him, thats not to say I know every single thing about him. The games I've seen him in, he's been solid. Very energetic, likes to pass and move, puts himself about, good at reading passes and interceptions, and seems to make time for himself on the ball. Think he will be a good player for us. Infact, I reckon he'll partner Makoun in midfield - both players will be passing and retaining possession IMO, something that our midfield hasn't done for ages.
---------Makoun---El Ahmadi-------
N'Zogbia----Ireland---Whittingham
----------------Bent-------------------
if we're only picking him up for the reported fee (£2.2m) then it's a good buy. He's only 27, and in his last year of his contract.
I'm just thinking what will happen to Herd, Delph, Gardner, Bannan, etc. How will Lambert use them? Squad rotation?

That's if Barcelona or Real Madrid don't come in for Makoun.
Whittingham as a winger? Hasn't he been playing central midfield for the past few seasons? Certainly has when I have seen Cardiff play.

Re: new season....
Yeah he has at Cardiff, but do you reckon he'll play him in Ireland's position? Or take up one of the 2 CM spots available?

Re: new season....
The usual suspects on Twitter really.
Last night though, alot of Cardiff fans were moaning that thier club is selling Whittingham to us. Aparently it's only for 3m as well. Thier finances are fecked.

Jay, you been at the glue again?
Cardiff have just been bought out by the Malaysians and have plenty of dosh. Anyway Championship is Whittingham's level and as for Makoun, he's not up to the Prem

Re: new season....
Well Lambert has publicly stated his interest.. lets hope he turns out likeTiote
As for Makoun.. no point selling him for 2M.. some players need a good season to settle.. look at Ramires.. was pants when he came to Chelsea and now is an integral part of the team..
I'm glad we are giving Makoun a chance.. a year on he will still be wroth around the same as he is now.. so can sell him then..

We know what he can do, reckless tackles mainly.
He will be sent off so many times if he plays the same way he did in the few games I saw him.
