Everton..
1-1 Draw.
Less the 30,000 turned up. From most of the reports from people that went there and on net it was a shite game and we were our usual rubbish selves under Mcminge.. One upfront in second half.. Gabby stuck out wide..
PLEASE SACK THIS CLOWN.

Re: Everton..
Second half was far better as he changed it to get Ireland on the ball more.
Attendances are dropping round the country, look at Man City who couldn't even sell out for a cup semi final.
Personally I don't think McLeish did much wrong today, however Hutton seems like a shocking sign, however he's not as bad as Warnock.

Re: Everton..
Warnock has been absolutely fucking terrible.
WTF is this guy on? Looked like he was hell bent on making us lose today!!! If he's taking bribes to score an own goal - he should make it less obvious.

Re: Everton..
Ireland needs to be the playmaker, not a wide fecking player. Havent even seen the team yet, how bored am I with Villa

Re: Everton..
Ireland is looking much more like a 8m player right now. Some of his play/touches today were class.

He changed it after about 30 minutes though. He tried to start with Bent and Gabby up front, people are just looking to jump on McLeishs back now about anything.

Thats because he clueless, Ireland has played well and needs to start in the middle linking the midfield with the forwards through the centre, not out wide.

Re: Everton..
I agree on Ireland, he should definitely play in the middle, and I thought it was a mistake to start him out wide, but I understood why he did it as he wanted to play Gabby upfront with Bent and you couldn't play Ireland behind them in the centre without been very narrow and dropping Albrighton.
It didn't work so he changed it. For me he would be clueless if he didn't change it. I'm not a McLeish fan, but it seems to me people are criticizing every little thing that any other manager would have got away with. Playing Ireland on the wing is nothing compared to MON playing Petrov there for weeks, and NRC for that mater, at least Ireland has played there for his previous club.

As someone who has never been to Villa Park you can't really moan about this with any credibility

This is my point about the McLeish abuse, AVFC wants him out as he started Ireland on the left, Ads wants him out for playing Gabby on the left in the second half, and TV wants him out for not bring Keane on earlier.
I know they aren't the only reasons they want him out, well the main reason is that he used to manage Blues and has put out a few negative teams this season. Against Everton he didn't so the reasons given in this thread just seem a bit pathetic.

Re: Everton..
ROT, I agree the main reasons they want him out are his sty connections. However, I saw Swansea today (you will have seen them at VP), and what a refreshing attitude to the game. We are stale, have been for some time. Was texting with QB earlier and neither of us have even bothered watching the game yesterday, I have never ever been so bored about my football club

Re: Everton..
Agree completely on the bored thing, but I don't just blame McLeish for that, my boredom has been setting in for the past couple of years and is in football in general. Villa looked like they were going somewhere a few years ago, now we are just aim for mid table, whoever the manager.
Maybe if we passed the ball about like Swansea fans would get more interested, but as Houllier proved, it seemed we would have a season or two of clear outs and massive loses on players currently at the club to try and pass the ball better.
McLeish was the wrong choice by the club, there is no doubt about that but ways the fans were against Swansea was an embarrassment, as is some of the criticism on this thread.

Re: Everton..
ROT, I agree with your comments. Mcleish should not have been the manager, but think the other options said feck off. Watching Swansea today made me wish Villa could play like that and lets be honest, we have the players. But who could we have as manager, was texting with Ades earlier and honestly cant think of a good manager who would come

Re: Everton..
I want mcminge out cus he's a negative shit manager. Playing Gabby out wide isn't the reason. He has done nothing since arriving to make me think otherwise.
Warnock and Hutton have been dire but I bet Lihacj (sp) is loaned out instead of getting a chance.

Re: Everton..
As for T.V I'm surprised you've missed the point he is making.
Everton get Donovan and play him straight away. We take an old has been for six games and he doesn't get a kick in the first game. What was the point of bringing him in if he won't start.

Well Mr 'not even nice but still dim' i will respond by saying i wouldn't have brought him to the club for six games in the first place.
So go ask the tosser your willing to give a chance still why he brought him and now he has who will he kick out to accommodate someone whos going to cost us in the region of 750k for 5 games and 1 bench warming session.
