Another "Big Match"
Away to Dortmund, plus we have our usual injury problems! Anyway it was going to be a difficult match - probably the hardest (but that has yet to be seen) in our group. Can we do it? Yes we can! Come on Arsenal!

They're all big matches when you're a top club.

A decade since you guys last won the league! I fear for your status as a top club in this new era.

Christ we were crap last night, from keeper to striker! OK Szczesny made a couple of top saves but he was also at fault with the goals (along with his hapless defence), the midfield didn't exist and we couldn't score from four reasonable chances. Let's hope that's the worst-performance-of-the-season out of the way and we can look forward to better things to come - cos if we continue playing like that we'll be fighting relegation from Christmas! Horriible!

I notice how Ramsey's form has deteriorated since Wilshire has been back in the side.
I think it's very difficult for them to play together.
Also Ozil is looking like a man who has lost all desire.
Plus we're gonna be asking our defenders to play a lot of football with two defensive midfielders who lack pace.
There is one other thing though, we had a really tough game on Saturday and to have to face Dortmund away on Tuesday was a pretty tall order.

Nice attempt at an excuse at the end there, jak
I reckon jpr's "Christ we were crap last night, from keeper to striker" was about right though. Arsenal were completely outplayed all over the pitch. How many attempts did Dortmund have? There appeared to be a huge gulf in class between the two teams. You must be worried.

At least the Golry boys managed to get a point away in a very noisy and hostile stadium... How did the rest of the English get on??

CL2 : Time for The Arsenal to step up and d'know what, I thinking we'll get a good performance/result against Galatasaray despite our injury problems. Come on Arsenal!

Re: Another "Big Match"
Did I already say that Danny Welbeck is the new Thierry Henry? Last night's hat-trick certainly had an Henryesque look about it, but anyway, didn't the lads play well, eh? The only poor thing about the night was the refereeing IMO. The Melo two-footed, studs-up tackle was a red card foul, not yellow. Later on Szczesny saw red for going about his goal-keeping business - OK he was a touch late but a yellow card and a penalty would have been sufficient (yes, I know the rules but a two-footed studs-up foul is also red).
So. onwards and upwards. next up - Chelsea at the Bridge. It's about time they lost at home in the Premier League, innit?

Yes, we played well against Galatasaray. Welbeck finished with aplomb. Could this be the one that Villainies got right, eventually?
One thing though, how the feck didn't Alexis Sanchez start the game against the Spuds?

Re: Another "Big Match"
I'm assuming Alexis starts at The Bridge and this is how the game'll pan out (for those who haven't got tickets).
We'll nick an early goal - Alexis probably, or Danny Welbeck perhaps - then sit back a bit, under a load of pressure, then we'll nick another one on the break (again, Alexis, Welbeck, The Ox, one of the speed merchants) which'll lead to a bit of grief for the home side/fans, then there'll be a red card (or perhaps two) - Costa off, perhaps joined by Koscielny (I see there two at it from the off) and Chelsea'll be destroyed, game plan out of the window and we'll get the points. 'Owsatt?!
