Really bad news for Arsenal, he was in great form. Had just put him in my fantasy team

Re: Van Persie facing long lay off??
We'll certainly miss him but it's not the end of the world. RvP has been scoring and making goals of late and, given we're short of Bendtner and Walcott we might look a touch light up top but there is always Eduardo and Vela who can step in. I'd like RvP back ASAP but we'll get by - there's a lot of football to be played and we're scoring from everywhere right now - bring 'em on!

Everytime RVP really gets going he is struck down by a serious injury. Feck these stupid mean nothing internationals. They are absolutely ruining the domestic season.

Re: Van Persie facing long lay off??
Van Persie out, that could hit home as we approach the middle part of the season, Arsenal seem a much better working team than last season IMO, and i would see them challenging for top spot with Chelsea and Man U, they say you can never rule out Liverpool, i think you can on this occasion, Man City i get the impression will be found out before long although they are planning to spend sh*t loads again in Jan including making a move for Eduardo, Spurs, can't see it, the other difficult team which will be a benchmark part of the season for Arsenal will be Villa, that will be a true test IMO, you have to admit the fact that you struggle to deal with Agbonlahor and he seems to relish the big games.

The games against Chelsea, Villa and, later on ManU will be key to where we may expect to find ourselves in May.
Now that we have a half-way decent defence i.e. twin centre-backs that appear to work together rather than independently of each other, as has been the case in recent seasons, I don't think that any one player, be it Drogba, Agbonlahor, Torres presents a major threat any longer. Vermaelen really is a determined SOB and it's a revelation how he's made Gallas look the business at last. Let's just say I'm quietly confident that this season Arsenal have the true capability to win something of consequence - OK, I've probably just opened the door to a further batch of World-Cup-qualifyer/Meaningless-Friendly injuries which will further decimate our squad. Let's just say God (whoever He may be) willing, we'll have cause for celebration between now and May.

He's apparently in Croatia being treated with horse placenta.
I think I'd perfer to have a sore ankle.

Re: Van Persie facing long lay off??
JPR: On the point made earlier about Arsenal's style of play being good to watch, that's something I would agree with, its strange that of late i seem to have less tolerance with being able to sit through a game if its rather mediocre, that could be something to do with so much football being available to watch now in terms of saturation. Arsenal are a differant matter they seem to satisfy any mood and change whatever kind of the day you've been having, finding yourself completely absorbed in sublime attacking football.
Clearly you have a manger that knows what he's doing.

Enter, stage left, tall male of African origins carrying a bowl of yellow dessert, in which rests his penis.
"What are you doing?" comes the question, from stage, right.
"Ahs phuckin disgusted" he replies.
