Porto away.
Could prove to be a difficult one - keeper, centre-back, holding midfielder, ace footballer (AA) and (yet) another striker all injured. So, Fabianski in goal, Sol alongside Vermaelen, presumably Denilson back in midfield and just Bendtner up top - with Theo? Who knows? Arsene knows. Do your job Arsene!

Re: Porto away.
The mere mention of Denilson's name makes me shudder.
He's more suited to the Ryman League than the Champions League.

I reckon you lot are playing the euro way. IT was what won the scouse gits their trophy. Rafa could play the euro way but not the premiership way.
anyway good luck against Porto.....

Re: Porto away.
What a nightmare for the keeper.
Picks up a back pass and then turns his back on the ball when going back to the goal

Nice to see Arsene taking defeat graciously.
"He should have given us time to build a wall, you cannot defend if you do not build a wall."
Didn't Henry score a freekick against Villa in a similar way..?

No, that was quick thinking by Henry, totally different to what the Porto players did tonight
Got to say though that ref was awful, did a great block on Campbell at the free kick to ensure he could not stop the quick free kick and what a dumbass the keeper was to throw the ball to the ref without the team getting back to defend.

Also he put his arm up after the ball had been passed - its got to be the last game for that imbecile!!

Re: Porto away.
Lion, didnt see all the game, but the ref was awful. Vermehlan did a foul on the left hand side just outside the area, took the bloke out after sloppy play. The ref gave a free kick but didnt even book the guy. Just before the second goal, Arsenal should have had a pen IMHO. Just as in the France - Ireland game, he seemed well out of his depth and fceking hope England dont get him in the world cup.

Re: Porto away.
Well I've got nothing to say about the goals against.
The penalty against Rosicky, however, was blatant.
I also wonder what a referee has to do to be put out to grass.
Half the world has got a contract out on Martin Hansson.

Jak, I can understand how aggrieved you must be after seeing that pathetic performance of the ref. If you want someone to give him a smack, QB is free on Saturday

Re: Porto away.
Fabianski..Campbell..Denilson..Diabi..Bentdner..
You cant be expecting to win Champions League with such players im afriad..
Wenger has a lot of work to do in the summer.. and i also think Fabregas wont be at Arsenal next season..

Re: Porto away.
Diaby was awful in the last 30 minutes, dont know if he was knackered, but kept giving the ball away. Is Fabianski related to that Kiraly bloke who wore the tracksuit bottoms similar to the best QB has to wear at a yam yam wedding

I think Campbell did well tonight. Bendtner also worked hard. Fabianski?
Denilson gives the ball away so often in vital areas, he is not up to PL, let alone CL.
Diaby? Why won't he shoot? Several good opportunities to have a crack tonight but turns away, goes round and round until he loses the ball and turns attack into frantic defence.
I also think Fabregas will leave in the summer in despair of some of those playing around him. He is forced to take on too much in the game. It seems everything has to go through him even when he's in a shit position to receive the ball.
I would also much prefer to see Eboue playing instead of Rosicky. Love him or hate him he does put the effort in and while he can be dangerous getting forward, he is also well aware of his defensive duties.
We must remember that we have many players out injured at the moment, we have been very unfortunate in that regard.
I think we can advance in the CL but I think if we come up against Chelsea or Man.U, then the game is definitely up.
We just lack the physical strength to compete against them at the moment.

Re: Porto away.
JAK.. what do you think about Walcott.. since the injuries it seems he might not live upto the hype.. certainly nowhere near the Rooney level many thought he would get too..
Re: Porto away.
Campbell did ok but lapses like the one he had is the difference between winning trophies and not..
Rosiscky ive always rated and is a good player.. but when ur whole midfield is 5ft5 and weight less then 10stone then you can look out of place.. i wouldnt mind him at Villa.. with our big lads he would fit in well..provided he is fit..
Also Eduardo seems to have lost it since his horrific injury.. shame cus he seemed like a top top player..

He just gets bullied. He goes to ground far too easily and at the moment, he looks to have made no progress. I know he's had a long period out injured but unless he learns to use his bodyweight better that will be the story of his life.
He just looks like a little boy in a mans game.
