I think they probably fit in quite well with the atmosphere at the library

Have a little think. Which club has, in the recent past gone out and built a new stadium "down the road" - a stadium which is one of the best? Which club has recently brought in a specialist (with sports business-management experience in the USA) to head up it's executive board?
I think you'll find The Arsenal is a pretty dynamic club and if one of our ex shareholders (and board members) is having a bit of a dig it's probably because she lost over one thousand pounds per share when she disposed of her holdings. Had she sold them to the Usmanov person we would all be a touch worried right now (even if she'd have been the richer for it). No, I'm reasonably satisfied that we've got a pretty go-ahead board whilst retaining our links with tradition.

We all know you have a well run club. But surely we are allowed to comment on the tribulations that your lot are going through with these two blokes who want to be in control..
I also don't think you should be so quick to admire the American's way of doing management. They are very quick to leverage their assets for other projects. You don't need to look much past the Glazers to see what they can do to an asset.

Feel free to comment - it's just that I believe you'd like to make them intelligently, rather than based on what might have been written in The Sun or some other "news"paper.
We have one major shareholder "Silent" Stan Kroenke and one aggressive (but thankfully) minor shareholder in Usmanov. Usmanov has not been invited to the board as yet. The person I'm referring to with the American sports business-management experience is English - Ivan Gazidis - who joined the board as Chief Executive in 2008. He's a pretty dynamic character who's been pushing all the right buttons since his arrival (although the recently-announced ticket price increases would appear to be a touch mis-timed IMO). I think there's a steady hand on the tiller.

I dont make comments from the newspapers. but I do know how the yanks run their businesses. They leverage very highly and sometimes it can be trouble. Look at what the Glazers did to Manure... They bought the company by stacking up debt on the company... Now Manure is carrying a lot of debt and when interest rates start to go up its going to hurt them quite badly. In fact that level of debt could easily drag them under in future..
I am not saying that is what is going to happen at Arsenal but you never know what Kronke will do. He may mortgage his shares for another project you never know what's coming over the hill with the yanks.

Admittedly we haven't built a new stadium down the road but I can assure you that when we take residence it will be a lot noisier than your field down in 'Nawf Lundun'.
Much like your shower, We have not moved too far from home, In fact, as far as transport facilities go, it will be more accessible.
Yes,
The Emirates is a great stadium, but many are beginning to emerge that will make the stadium an also ran in a few years time.

That all sounds great, Ringo but you miss a couple of points.
The Olympic stadium is not a patch on the Emirates, also and more important, West Ham are not in the top flight of English football. You've been relegated. If there's no quick promotion the amount of noise in your stadium will diminish rapidly.
You say many stadiums are beginning to emerge to make the Emirates look like an also ran. where?

There are many people who'd like control at The Arsenal, not least jpr and myself. What tribulations are we going through?
Usmanov has as much chance of gaining control as jpr and I do, so you're welcome to comment, Cath but you're barking up the wrong tree when you say we're going through tribulations over a battle for control. What battle? Usmanov was slaughtered long ago.
