Man City Away.
Massive match today and could be the biggest 3 points we have ever picked up in the Premiership. We are the underdogs and I prefer it that way, pressures on Citeh.
What the reckoning lads?

Re: Man City Away.
The fact we are still involved in the race to finish 4th with two games left in a season when we lost Barry and Laursen is a fantastic achievement.. Add to the fact that we are about to hit our highest ever prem points total a cup final and a semi final.. then you cant have any arguements about how we have improved.. dont think anyone thought we would be chasing fourth esp after the loss of Barry and Laursen..
Oneil might be frustarting at times for not having a Plan B and not making subs etc but you cant knock what he has done this season..

Massive game for Villa, massive game for MON. Can he get a performance and 3 points in a big match to keep the pressure on Spuds?

Re: Man City Away.
Clumsy challenge by Warnock and gives away a penalty, Tevez steps up and it goes right under Friedel's body - I'm talkin millimeters.
We go down the other end, Carew rattles the crossbar with a thunderbolt, goes down the other end, City break with Johnson, cuts back onto his left foot in our box, sidefoots it to Adeboyeor who puts it in off Friedel.
2-1 City.
Goddamn it.
Downing had a great chance to score, just put it wide!!!!

Another season ends with a whimper. I'm wondering if MON has lost the ability to close.

In all the time Lerner has been at teh club i've seen one interview with him.He doesn't hawk the media. In a way i hope MON does leave, then all of you moaning feckers will get your wish and we can go back to being utter shite.

QB
Surely thats the point those that say little know when to talk - if there was no substance in the Football Director story RL would have said so and everyone would believe him
Thev fact that no one has made any comment speaks volumes
In many ways I cannot understand MONs obstinacy - Fergie has never had a problem having Kidd/McClaren/Saffer Portuguese/Meulensteen handling the coaching so why doesnt he just be the manager and leave the clever bits to thiose that know about it
Robertson is clearly largeing it at Villa - good salary to do fook all
The Yanks are generally very good at sussing out who should do what and I think crunch time has come at VP

Re: Man City Away.
From the parts of the game I caught I thought we played very well, took the game to Citeh and had plenty of possesion. I dont know how the last 20 went but one crap challenge and a very unlucky couple of minutes to follow changed the scoreline and the match. 4th gone, most probably gone months ago but heads held high today. Its innevatable that those big spending bitches will end up with CL football sooner or later, just wish it wasnt at our expense.

Vieira did a diabolical foul on Young with the Ref no more than five yards away that broke up a potential break away and didnt even get a talking to..

Re: Man City Away.
Some people need to give it a rest FFS!!!
Even sometimes Oneil pisses me off by not making subs or having a Plan B or buying foreign.. but to fecking moan that we went out with a whimper or furiously that this might be his last away game is pathetic!
We have done brilliant this season.. i want to keep Oneil cus i cant think of anyone else we could get in that will take us to 4th..
Today we gave away a stupid penalty and then we hit the cross bar and Man City went up the other end and made it 2-1..

The Man City goalie was absolute pants - probably the worst loan keeper Ive seen since Villa got lumbered with that Hungarian Palace freak

I know
But the Man city goalie made him look a world beater - in the second half today Petrov hammered the ball down field and the goalie caught it and the whole stadium applauded him!!
