Re: Feyenoord tonight
A couple of points from tonight:
If you knew you had friends coming over Lutes (at 10pm?! REALLY!? ), why ask me for a link dumbass!
BTW Sorry Magoo, forgot the rule. (If anyone wants links to future games just gimme a shout via PM)
Anyway, thought Albrighton had a great first half but looked a little tired/jaded second half. Lost the ball alot of the time in the second, but showed he's a great prospect, his goal was fecking brilliant to say the least, and he set up the second with a great cross for Heskey - think he's been learning how to cross off Ashley Young.
NRC was immense in the first half, thought he was ran the game alongside Petrov, but out of the two NRC ran the show. Whoever said his passing was poor, really need to reconsider thier words. Based on this performance - mahooosive improvement. Don't think he lost the ball once.
No point calling him Gabby anymore, just call him Hulk. He looks bigger again! Been hitting the gym alot. Hopefully he hasn't lost any pace, didn't look he did tonight but we'll see in the coming season.
Ash was good in the hole, neat touches and good passing in the final third. Defence had a very hard time containing him. Had a couple of good freekick attempts on goal. He's looking revved up for this season.
Carew and Heskey were good, Heskey looked like he's going to carry on his good form for England for Villa, great header for his goal. And Carew - I know I've seen him play alot but I'm still amazed at his close control, for a big lad, he's probably one of the best at the club at keeping the ball even with 2 or 3 defenders on him. Scored a good goal from the angle on his weaker foot but it was called offside.
Guzan was good in goal, the guy's got a huge goal kick on him, on one occasion one of his goal kicks just bounced outside of the opposition's goal area.
Defence was good, Cuellar probably had the best performance of the night at CB, good to see him there. Played the whole game, first half with Dunne (who was a fault for the 1st goal IMO, kept the last striker onside, but otherwise decent performance) and Davies in the 2nd half, great to see him back, another good solid performance.
Downing was Downing, good link up play but didn't offer much IMO. We've yet to see the best of him, especially with his big price tag.
End of reviewwwwwwww.

Re: Feyenoord tonight
I think Hleb is a talented player.. skillfull.. cna thread a pass.. plus he was very good at Arsenal so used to pace off the Prem.. might be gettable for around 5M.. which is peanuts..
Flamini was getting booed most likely cus he didnt want to stay at Arsenal and pushed for a move to Milan

Brilliant Jay...
Re: Feyenoord tonight
Flamini was booed because as I seem to recall, he didn't sign a contract extension/new contract and let his old one run out, which then led to him signing a pre-contract with Milan?

Re: Feyenoord tonight
Friends brought the daughter back at 9 and stayed for a beer as their daughter is staying tonight and we are all happily going to Milton Keynes shopping . So up yours dozy bollocks, you didnt post the link anyway.
Cuellar and Dunne have to start centre back, best two. Collins and Davies would get in most teams, but we have strength there.
Good to hear about Albrighton Jay. As for Heskey, he brought his good England form back to Villa. Have you been boozing?

Re: Feyenoord tonight
Oh yeah, there was no limitation to how many subs we could have, so it was very interesting to see Luke Young and Milner not even included on the Bench. Think they're both off to be honest.

Yeah think the Arsenal fans just felt that Flamini loved it Arsenal, was playing great football and was loved by the fans, but for him not to sign another contract/extension and declare he wanted to leave for no appearent reason felt like a slap thier faces. At least thats what my Gooner mate makes of it.

If they want away, they'll play havoc in the squad. It would be best to cut them cleanly whilst getting our best deal. IMO.

Beye was playing there tonight, and Eric Lichaj was on for the 2nd half. Neither of them were spectacular but solid.

I would go as far to say Cuellar and Dunne was as good as any partnership in the premiership to be honest.

Well there were both in the top 5 ranking of the official opta stats defenders list. A stat for Lion to wank over!
