Premier League 20 year awards

As the Premiership has been going 20 years, they are giving awards for best player, goal, best save, best game etc.

who has been you favourite player, goal etc?

Best game was the Liverpool v Newcastle in '96
Best goal Dalian Atkinson v Wimbledon in 1992/93, never given the credit it deserves but he ran 60 yards, beat players and finished it off with a chip.Had he done it for Manure it would win, but doubt the 'panel' have even considered it.
Best save...... I dunno can't really think of one stand out save but Foster made a great double save for the Albion last week which was as good a save as i can recall.
Best Player Thierry Henry edges this for me.

Some great goals in this line up but one absolutely outstanding goal... Cantona - fecking sublime. Best celebration too.

I agree with QB on best player though, Terry Henry.

Couldnt argue with Henry as best player, though Giggs and Bergkamp would be up there for me.

Best manager -certainly Ferguson
Best goal - Was there for Atkinson's and certainly class, loved those goals Bergkamp scored at Leicester and Newcastle
Best keeper - Scmicheal
Best team - tough one, have to say the Arsenal mob when they went unbeaten for so long

Manager - Ferguson
Goal - Paolo with the rose-tinted glasses on, Le Tissier vs Newcastle as a neutral view
Save - Gordon's miracle point blank save
Player - Ryan Giggs

Can't believe Chelsea vs Villa 4-4 draw isn't on the shortlist for best game, 3 sendings off 2 penalties some great goals with the match swinging back and forth with a last second equaliser. Even was touted at the time as the best prem game ever, but doesn't make the list?

Henry must be best player.. Bergkamp not too far off that..

Surely there must have been better saves then some of the ones on there..

Dicanio's goal was top class.. so was Bergkamps against Newcastle..Atkinson up there too.. there was another one similar to the Dicanio's one think for Charlton.. the black players names slipped my mind..

The only one I am certain of is Schmeichel. How are you supposed to pick just 2 strikers out of Henry/Bergkamp/Van Nistelrooy/Zola/Cantona???

I would go for Henry and Bergkamp.. leave Cantona and Shearer on bench..

Central midfield is hard... Veira or Keane?

Would Ronaldo just edge Beckham or not?

Mainly based my picks on players i've seen live.Ronaldo is left out as pires for two or three seasons was IMO an absolute joy to watch.Le Tissier remains one of my all time faves, pure class.McGrath is still the best centre half i've ever seen and that's not just Villa bias, the fella was a rolls royce of a player.Rio isn't fit to lace his boots.Up front had to go for Shearer for the consistency of his goals and Henry is the best player i've ever seen at a live game.

I was thinking Ronaldo ahead of Beckham but Ronaldo does go missing in big games thou.. Plus you'd rather have Beckham's crosses for Shearer..

Didn't see enough of Adams to make a fair judgement. and King would've been one of the greats if he could stand on two legs.
