Darren Bent..

Ive always thought Bent is a goal poacher and after finally getting one we should never think of selling him..

Read some interesting stats regarding our results and goals with and without Bent.. Took this of another site..



Over the last 2 seasons

With Bent

38 games, 13 wins, 14 draws, 11 loses, 48 scored, 48 conceded, 53 points

Without Bent

34 games, 6 wins, 13 draws, 15 loses, 35 scored, 59 conceded, 31 points

In the 11 games Bent has missed this season we have scored just 9 goals and conceded 20. Picking up just 9 points

This season

With Bent: 22 games, 6 wins, 9 draws, 7 defeats, 26 goals, 28 conceded, 27 points

Without Bent: 12 games, 1 win, 6 draws, 5 defeats, 9 goals, 20 conceded, 9 points



Clearly shows that even with Shit service the guy wills score goals.. we have to keep him IMO..

I'd like to see a manager build a team around him. He doesn't work that hard and that must piss managers off but of the team around him is set up right I think the goals he will score are far more important.

He works hard enough Imo. If you want a player to drop deep and link play then Bent isn't your man. However, no striker who scores as many 6yd box goals as Bent is lazy. Going off what we saw in his brief loan spell i think Keane is ideal to play alongside Bent.
