I would back Lambert's judgement ahead of Villainies. If he wants him, I would be happy with the signing, another good indication for the future IMHO. There again, I would back McLeish's judgement ahead of Villainies.

Secondly if you go on the Ipswich forums he is highly rated which is a good indicator..

The Prem is a changing league these days.. there the big 6 then the rest haven't got the money to be buying big name players.. it will inevitably mean younger players will be given more of a chance.. so its not just Villa who are looking at young Championship players..

Think of the championship as a big barrel. At the moment Lambo is in that barrel, scraping the bottom of it. We need more than this to get back into the top half.

Nice. This is the calibre of player we need to be getting in. Maybe Holman, El Ahmaji? Creswell and Lowton will burn up the EPL but more likely they won't.

Can you lend Randy the 100M extra we need to get these players in.

Lets face it we aint gonna get any "big" name signings ... Randy hasnt got the money but if PL can bring in talent from lower leagues and make em good why not ? the days of big money wages /signings etc: are over .....

Didnt work too bad for Norwich last season either. Hopefully, with a better base and more money, Lambert can really improve the club

I like PL way of doing transfers.. he's not getting loads of money to spend but is smart in the market.. looks at lower leagues and abroad too..

Think the vast majority of fans would agree with you Ades, with the exception of deluded people who cannot understand why we are not competing with the very select few for the top players.
