What a wanker.

Said to QB that Hart should be in goal. He said Tony Hart would be btr than that pile of shit. I'd take Hughie Green to be honest.

Have been shite overall.

Lutes i see Hart becoming a top top keeper.. the reason i wouldnt start him is because a blunder like that would destroy him.. esp with the Tosspot press we have..let him gain more experience just ebing in the set up.. wouldve played James...

I think we havent been too bad.. wat you have to remember is we cant play possesion football ( Lion will explain it better Tosspot ) and that is our downfall..

Think Heskey has been brilliant but we have looked dodgy at the back.. against a classier team who knows wat might happen..

Well to be honest i wasnt expecting a whole lot more.. thought we didnt play too badly.. SWP is rubbbish.. running around like a headless chicken.. how he got in ahead of Johnson and Ash Young is a mystery..

Jesus Christ, how much did England need Ashley Young/Adam Johnson today? Fecking dreadful end products from SWP and Lennon.

Hart should be starting IMO, feel for Rob Green though, these things do happen unfortunately.

Milner, just think he was still feeling the effects from the illness in midweek. But you know Jimmy, he always wants to play.

100% with you Jay on every point you make. Shame Milner went off, but Joe Cole should start IMHO. Heskey was good today, but Rooney needs to start up front on his own.

A goalkeeper must get his body behind the ball in those situations. Green actually nearly did the same thing earlier in the game. He wants to take those fecking oven gloves off. A schoolboy error from a keeper who should no way be playing on that stage.
Heskey great? Piss off !!!! One on one with the keeper and completes the perfect back pass. Tosspot Tosspot
He is to striking what Luton is to love making.
Anyway, same old same old England. Same players, same lack of passion and effort. Same hype, same let down.
A wasted Saturday night.

Our goalkeeoing department is very weak jak.. im not saying this because he plays for West Ham but you cna always see that Green is prone to a major blunder.. im glad we didnt play Hart.. that guy does have potential and needs to be brought to the fore slowly rather then just being thrown in there..

I hope green won't be playing again, what a dogs nob. I didn't like the starting line up much, milner on the left lampard and gerrard in the middle was a mess. Agree that the crossing from swp and lennon must improve but we need to win the ball and keep it much more effectively. We missed couple of chamces that we can't afford to against better teams. We have to get rooney more involved. Gerrard is the main man.

Beds, typical of the dummies that sat in the studio and other remarks made in relation to Green IMO, lets look for a focal point and target that.

Yes Green was at fault, yes it was a major dilemma it happens but as far as I'm concerned the game was littered with them.

Fact is the England goal just as much caught the USA on there back foot as the USA goal had us wrong footed.

Team selection by Capello was very poor.

Capello takes Milner of because he's had a yellow card Laughing panic pure and simple. 1 sub used.

Capello takes a cripple as part of his squad who had to come of because he ain't fit....2nd sub used.

Capello lines up World class Rooney with Heskey...now the country knows how Gabby feels.

Capello makes his last substitute, takes of one dork in Heskey and brings on another in Crouch...where was Defoe, i was at a party and the game was on, it was obvious to the complete novices that Johnson and Lennon was giving USA all kind of problems simply because of pace, PACE, England best attribute, or was.

Tactically inept, same old England, nothing new, teams know precisely how to play us.

In defence of England that was the first game, you will always get ring rust but IMO, like water England have already shown there level.

Anybody that watched the Argies play who shown just as much rustiness otherwise they would have walked that 10-0 can see If and when England have to play the quality sides like Argentina we are right royally...........................out of it.

Another point worth making about the media and the untrained eye, we have heard all this nonsense about how Maradona is a tyrant and a monster with his players, other than Mourinho i have never seen a more united manager with his lads than Maradona was, they where so together it was like one big family, kissing cuddling, he was with them every inch of the way, and did you see the Argies celebrate after a very average 1-0 victory....speaks loads.

Capello has to play Green in the next game, or as with Robinson or Carson it will destroy him.

ps...........The one saving grace is that the England supporters leaving the stadium new exactly where to point the blame and where the problems are.

Lutes: And obviously you thin Hart is immune from such error.

Suggestion:

See if you can watch the goal again. (perhaps someone can put it up on here)

Look at the point in which Dempsey receives the ball.

Watch how Dempsey turn one way and then another before shooting.

Watch An England player ball watching (think its Gerrard) and turning with him rather than getting straight at the player (not doing his job) giving Dempsey all the time in the world to do his lovely little dance before shooting.

If Green gave proper consideration to that event he should be saying yes i got it wrong, terrible, but who was the other phuk supposed to be marking Dempsey, the last thing i expected was a 25 yarder form straight down the middle.............that's not excusing him.

Fact is its very easy to find blame when the easy option is staring you in the face, what you have to do IMO is look beyond that and ask why?

By the way. one of the most embarrassing pieces of defending i have ever ever seen was that of Carragher being out paced by Altidore, never seen a defender just give up running just because he was out paced.

I would feel obliged to play Green, and i have no doubt England will qualify out of this group.

Will be interesting to see how the other sides perform today.

Luton 'He's not saying otherwise, he is admitting it,

Suggest, watch the whole event again.

James is definitely capable of just such error and so is Hart.

Had the midfield marker stepped in IMO they may not have happened, not just Green at fault.........Capello has to play Green, he has to stand by his man and his team selection, if he doesn't there is every case it will cause disunity, and he broadcasting England already have a problem.

Next Algeria............Play Green against a no problem side, show confidence and unity and the drop him if you must afterwards IMO.

Suggest you look at the events running up to the goal.

Thing is Lute we can discuss this all day, fact is England basically where crap and thats all there is to it...............same old England.

Mal, agree with you that England were crap, some strange decisions. Have to say I would go with Hart, seems a confident lad and think he is up to the task of playing. I take on board Ades comments re throwing him in, but think he can cope with it. Mind you, if our centre back partnership is Terry and Carragher, we are fceked. Joe Cole has to come into the equation IMHO as well

Mal totally disagree that Capello has to play Green.. we arent there to look after his confidence.. if he is man enough he will get over it wiht time.. personally think James has to start next game..

I wouldnt compare us to Argentina.. we cant play possesion football and no other country is the world will play Lampard and Gerrard as a middle two.. it doesnt work in International football.. closest one that has ever worked is Iniesta and Xavi but there ball retention is much better and even then they played Senna holding..

The problem with Defoe is it takes Rooney out of the game.. and lets be honest we need him to have a torunament and half to get anywhere near the final.. personally i would play Barry Lampard Gerrard in the middle with Milner and Joe cole on the wings.. Rooney upfornt on his own... with Gerrard pushing forward from midfield.. the reason we might not play it is becuase our ball retention isnt the best and Capello feels we need a target man to hold it up..
