NK Maribor 1 - 2 Blues In Europe

Blues maintained our impressive record of not losing away in Europe for fecking years and years, despite Colin Doyle and Jonny Spector conspiring to gift Maribor the lead in the first half.

To be honest, we weren't up to much in the first period but when Zigic came on after the break we stepped up a gear and battered them. Burke and Elliott got the goals but we should have had more. Zigic headed over from 6 yards and somehow their keeper kept out a close range effort from Elliott.

Maribor knocked Rangers out in the previous round but we showed them how European football should be played. Watch and learn Europe, watch and learn.......
