Re: England line ups
To start the tournament i'd pick.
Hart
Jones Cahill Lescott Cole
Ox Parker Lampard Gerrard Young
Carroll
I reckon Woy will go for Terry over Cahill and Walcott over Ox.
With Rooney i'd revert to 4-4-2 leaving Lampard out

I know you think we will win the tournament.. But playing with ten men.. the arrogance levels in Bristol must be really high

Thats quite defensive VFL. And Gerrard/ Lampard? Are we really going to revisit that again?

Re: England line ups
Not sure there is too much option to be honest villainies. I would pick Lescott ahead of Terry, would probably put Ashley in the hole and Ox or even Downing out wide with Gerrard instead of Lampard. We havent got too much talented players, so need to make sure we have a great team ethic, doubt that will happen though

I think we'll be tough to beat but on the other hand I don't think we'll create much and probably not take our chances. We need Roons and gerrard to be on fire to stand any chance IMO and I think it unlikely that they will both perform at their best at the same time.

They certainly wont both be firing for the first two games. Think Ashley Young could be a talent if allowed to express himself

Roy will play -
..................Hart...................
Johnson Cahill....Terry.....Cole..
Milner...Parker...Gerry...Downing
................Young..................
................Carroll..................
When Rooney is available, he will come in for one of the wingers with Young moving there and Rooney off the stiker.

Re: England line ups
leaves Gerrard in limbo that formation.. plus i don't think Ash Young is good enough to play there.. has to be a SOLID two in the middle.. Parker and Milner.. Gerrard behind the front man with two wide men..
I can't see Rooney and Carrol playing upfront together.. would leave us short in midfield..

Re: England line ups
England's line-up for today's match looks good to me - OK I don't fancy EBJT but the defence is probably as good as it can be, the midfield has enough strength and bite (Gerrard, Milner, Parker) and going forward we should be pretty fluid (Welbeck, Young, The Ox) - the Belgians have a strong team out too so this should prove an interesting match.

Re: England line ups
And it wasn't a bad performance - certainly not great either but we don't need "great" just yet. Consistency is an important factor in football so the squad should be feeling pretty good about themselves after two 1-0's.
As for the individual performances, well I've got the feeling that just about everyone was OK (this is all getting a bit boring I know) and, for me any of the players who got some playing time yesterday could start against France and I'd not complain. Young played an excellent ball through for Welbeck's goal which, in turn Welbeck took amazingly well.
Could Welbeck start with Carroll against France? Why not? The Ox worked hard, as did Milner, Gerrard was all over the place (in a positive way) although perhaps Parker was a touch off his best but still put in a shift. Aside from the goal I didn't see a lot from Young but watching on TV you don't see the off-the-ball running so perhaps he suffered from not getting the ball enough. That's the only criticism really, this England team doesn't really work the ball - in fact they seem too prone to losing possession - and I think the late introduction of Walcott seemed to provide something that had been missing from most of the match, a threat based on speed (of foot and thought - Walcott played a couple of nice one-two's). We'll see what this team has to offer against somewhat stronger opposition - the defence, which looks OK will have to deal with a lot more attacking threat from France than they did against Belgium or Norway.

I only saw last ten minutes and Walcott played a couple of excellent balls that could have produced goals
