Yeh but your not in a relegation fight after 2 matches. We probably will be this year with a number of other teams but atleast wait 10 games before calling it. Also I doubt he is buying this lad from chesterfield to go anywhere near the first team so don't worry about it 'not being whats needed for a relegation battle'.

Also if your saying ten teams are in a relegation battle then does that mean ten teams are in a European battle because 7th could well get you into the Europa league..

As for Villa not improving.. 2games in means nothing.. lets see after ten..

I see what you are saying but he's proved himself to be a decent manager so far. After successive promotions Norwich weren't expected to do a great deal last season. He's got a lot more pressure now and we'll more than likely be going into the international break bottom and without a point. Not ideal, but patience is paramount.

The Bentke link is still doing the rounds.. Also the Chestefield lad Bowery and Charlton midfielder Stephens all linked with coming in..

Must say to buy 7-8 players and non to have prem experience at all is strange.. Thought we would at least get one in..

Awful dealings so far in my opinion. Im all for youth and unearthing gems from lower leagues but Villa need leaders at this minute and those with Prem experience. You can only have so many "young and hungry" players in your squad, they need experienced heads to go with them. Think we missed out bigtime on Charlie Adam, he would have fitted us perfectly, exactly the player and personality needed for a young team.

Think we will have Bentenke in by tonight, if Yossi can be brought in with him then it may put us in a better position. Swansea doing good business it seems and Stoke seem to be giving it a go. I hope we dont get left further behind the pack we now run in.
