Re: New season
Even better, 4-0 to The Arsenal! Very nice too - excellence all-round, nice goals (oh yes, Tottingham dropped a coupla points too - let's hope my Saints-fan mates have got it right with their claim to grab the three points at Leicester today). I know, we've left it way too late to grab that top-spot now but I'm happy if those above us are getting a touch nervous. West Ham next at The Boleyn, that'll be a tough'un and I'd normally go for a draw there but hey, we're looking good so let's take the three points, eh? Come on Arsenal!

Re: New season
Great game for the neutral (I suppose) and a draw was what I would have imagined in a "normal" season BUT, we were 2-0 up, we were pushing for the top (OK, it wasn't going to happen and it certainly won't now), WE WERE 2-0 UP (did I mention that before?) - no, totally unacceptable! Poor (or no) discipline generally, no organization in defence - this, of course is the reason The Arsenal aren't at the top - in fact we could be heading for fourth place (again). I was already floored by our piss-poor performances at ManU and at home to Swansea, this was just another mediocre game, albeit entertaining. What next ?

You'll never win the Premier League with Arse Wenger as your manager.
It's as simple as that. Everybody knows this.

In a strange sort of way I think The Arsenal are fighting for survival too - at least the individuals who make up the team. I'd expect us to go out there and win big - wishful thinking?

Re: New season
Jose would absolutely piss the league with those players at his disposal. It would have been wrapped up already, I have no doubt about that.

You got me there Tillts, I nearly chucked up! Still, it's all good. How'd you get on against Dirty Leeds, eh?

Re: New season
We lost against Leeds, jpr. But you knew that. I know you follow our results.
The first half was one of our worst performances of the season, but we've been off the pace for about a month now.
Anyway, back to Jose. You'd soon change your opinion of him when he showed you what a proper manager could do with your squad. He'd breathe new life into your stale club.
Arse is well past his best. I've been telling you this for years.

Re: New season
Actually Tilts I don't particularly follow Brum's results but I do have (ashamed to say) a Leeds fan in my immediate family - 'oribble innit?!
No, The Special One would do nowt at The Arsenal - he won't get the chance (thankfully) to prove me right but there we are.
Arsene Wenger is approaching retirement, probably in a year to two. He isn't "well past his best" and obviously hasn't been in that state "for years". You don't like him, that I accept. I admire the man for all he's done and for being a rose among thorns in terms of the intelligence he brings to English football. There are a few good coaches out there, I trust we'll choose one to replace him in due course.

Re: New season
Yet another poor performance - as I said to a mate on Friday I can't wait for the season to end. I think that's the first time I have ever, in my 56 years of supporting The Arsenal, truly felt that way. Nothing I saw on Sunday made me change my mind - a neatly taken goal from Alexis notwithstanding. Leicester are champions, Tottingham will finish second and we'll finish third or fourth - that's it, finish!

You aint finishing fourth if you dont buck your ideas up.... Manure seem to be finding their feet a bit..

Re: New season
We did plus it was a good performance - two well-struck goals from Alexis, who finally looks back in shape after a long period of not-quite-up-to-it!
Up to Sunderland on Sunday - that's a must-win too (for both teams - so, as we Arsenal fans say "May The Best Team Win" innit)!

I think the Arsenal an are going to be visiting some interesting places in eastern europe next season... Probably in a few of the 'stans.... Manure are on a bit of a renaissance whilst the arse are having trouble with an allardyce team....
